Responsibilities

　　Amplify and Phonics Implementation

　　Model, co-teach, and live coach teachers as they implement Amplify curriculum (skills and knowledge);

　　Provide training and development for all teachers in using Amplify curriculum including model lessons, exemplar internalizations, etc.;

　　Teach Amplify blocks in teachers' classrooms to show them how to deliver the lesson effectively with their exact group of students;

　　Model and co-teach lessons to support teachers in differentiating and ensuring all students master the objective;

　　Ensure the successful implementation of the Amplify and phonics curriculum across the campus;

　　Provide literacy curriculum support and training for all teachers and leaders;

　　Observe classrooms, conduct walkthroughs, live coach teachers and leaders, and facilitate leadership professional development around lower school literacy;

　　Model teach and coach instructional methods in a variety of settings with teachers and leaders (whole group, small group, individually, during grade level meetings, department meetings, etc);

　　Support teachers in completing TEA required Reading Academies program;

　　Plan and execute vertical and horizontal collaborative instructional planning

　　Literacy Data Analysis and Action Planning

　　Facilitate assessment action planning using a variety of measures to determine appropriate placement and specific instructional needs;

　　Disaggregate and analyze student data to inform instruction, “just in time” interventions, and teacher practice;

　　Collaborate with SpED, ESL, and EB teachers and leaders to ensure all students are reading on grade level including providing flexible grouping interventions based on data analysis;

　　Work with teachers and leaders to analyze data and make adjustments to curriculum and instruction;

　　Present data findings and action steps to school leadership and the AP K-2

　　Goals

　　80% or more of students are reading on grade level in grades K - 4

　　90% of teachers report that they have the skills to successfully implement the Amplify and phonics program

　　100% of leaders report that they have the skills to support teachers in their implementation of Amplify and phonics program

　　Support all teachers and leaders in meeting our internal academic goals around ELA including exceeding 80/40/20 on all ELA STAAR assessments;

　　Qualifications

　　A minimum of two years teaching lower school literacy in high-performing urban schools with exemplary student results

　　A least two years of driving positive change through adults in a school setting preferred

　　A demonstrable commitment to pursuing equity

　　Ability to multi-task and work within an ambiguous, fast-moving, start-up environment, while driving toward clarity and solutions

　　Excellent written and oral communication skills

　　Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
