The Air Quality Scientist/Air Dispersion Modeler will conduct dispersionmodeling analyses in support of human health related studies, accidentalrelease responses, and other environmental studies. Work will includepreparing meteorological data and other model parameters and processing suchdata in U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other air dispersion modelsto support analysis of environmental issues. The Air Quality Scientist/AirDispersion Modeler will run models in support of emergencies involvinghazardous chemicals and will travel to emergency sites and support operationsin the field by conducting air modeling studies, setting up and operatingmeteorological stations, and collecting samples of air or other media asnecessary to support emergency operations. The Air Quality Scientist/AirDispersion Modeler will also support other studies related to public healthand the environment.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
Provide project management support, including client communication,project scheduling and execution of client deliverables on time and with highquality.
Provide air quality and air dispersion modeling subject matter expertise asa part of multi-disciplinary teams within CTEH and Montrose EnvironmentalGroup (MEG).
Develop and run U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) airdispersion models in support of human health risk related air monitoringstudies or to support regulatory requirements.
Develop and run dispersion models in support of CTEH emergency response orplanning involving hazardous chemical releases. This may include requiringsupport on short notice, travel to drill or emergency sites to supportclient operations in the field. Field tasks may include conducting airmodeling, setting up and operating meteorological stations, collecting airquality data or other tasks necessary to support emergency operations.
Evaluate client project objectives and develop strategies to executeassigned project.
Prepare written proposal and reports for a variety of projects, includingexpert opinions, air quality monitoring and air dispersion modeling studies.
Compile, critically review and summarize scientific/technical literatureand local, state, and federal regulatory documents.
Communicate (written, oral, and/or personal contact) with internaland external clients or client representatives, regulatory agencies, asneeded and assigned by manager.
Perform administrative duties associated with the position; and,
