　　Dynamics of the Role

　　As a member of the Billing Systems team, the Advisor will participate in the design and development of complex solutions to support, enhance and modernize billing while supporting existing capabilities for US Billing. The role is also responsible for helping define, implement and enforce standards and best practices within the Billing ecosystem and integrated processes. This role will actively partner with Finance, Sales, Operations and Product teams to manage a comprehensive billing solution for our portfolio of products.

　　The Team's Focus

　　The Billing team is responsible for supporting billing and invoice processing functions to assist with product, multi-entity billing Applications, used to service our multiple business areas. Our system runs 24 x 7, processes multibillion transactions monthly, generates a large set of invoices and interacts with many systems in batch and real-time. 　　How You Will Contribute

　　Provides both architectural leadership and hands on development of our products.

　　Leverages our architectural standards to determine the solution architecture, technology, and tools required to deliver our products.

　　Plays a hands-on role in the development process including design, development and support of the applications.

　　Provides data modeling and database design solutions for both existing and new software components and systems.

　　Contributes to technical vision, winning support from engineering and aligning with product and business strategy.

　　Develops a team-oriented, supportive culture with a strong focus on creating a working environment that fosters collaboration, open communication and delivering outcomes.

　　Constantly improves team productivity, refines agile processes, and creates methods to increase efficiency (Lean/DevOps).

　　Provides technical leadership, hands on development by inspiring your teammates to think outside the box as they deliver high quality software solutions.

　　Act as a decisive leader focused on outcomes.

　　Strong advocacy/development of automated testing, continuous delivery, and software quality across the software development life cycle.

　　Champion engineering excellence (development techniques, security, tech debt balance, Technical Design Documents, and agile habits within your team; improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.

　　Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams.

　　Ensure Transunion design patterns, frameworks, and architectural standards are implemented consistently within billing applications.

　　Accountability for quality of code and application development.

　　What You Will Bring

　　12+ years of technical experience including experience in technical architecture, application development, database management or operations.

　　12+ years of Java experience with Spring framework and modules, high volume, and high concurrency applications.

　　Experience in REST Webservice, Microservices, API's, Service Orientes Architecture

　　Past experiences with development tools such as Git, Artifactory, Maven, Jenkins, Confluence, SonarQube, etc.

　　Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented design principles

　　Strong knowledge of technology and product trends, especially what is happening in open source, DevOps, and Big Data.

　　Experience advising teams and performance.

　　Experience in working and architecting multiple cloud platforms and services.

　　Strong proficiency in Java concepts and object modeling in a Linux environment and databases

　　Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.

　　Strong communication skills that create effective cross team collaboration and quality documentation.

　　Ability to think outside the box and apply unconventional solutions to conventional problems.

　　Proficiency with Linux, including strong shell scripting skills.

　　Demonstrated understanding of how AbInitio applications and systems interact with the underlying hardware ecosystem.

　　Experience working in an agile project development lifecycle.

　　Strong in-depth knowledge of databases and database concepts.

　　Ability to communicate complex technical or architecture concepts in a simple manner and can adapt to different audiences.

　　Experience navigating large complex applications.

　　Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, automation tools.

　　Experience working in a SOX compliance environment is a plus.
