Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an Advanced Power Electronics Electrical Design Intern in the Hardware Architecture team.

The Advanced Power Electronics Electrical Design Intern will work as part of a team developing next generation Power Switches and assist with associated design, implementation, and testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in fabrication of next generation power modules and inverters, e.g., development of methods, processes

Evaluate and test power module samples

Document product performance, present results

This is expected to be a hands-on project assignment, introducing the candidate to fundamental skills associated with BorgWarner’s future Power Module and Inverter mechanical development, an enabler for more advanced assignments

What We’re Looking For

Currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or be a graduate from an accredited college majoring in Electrical Engineering or related field

GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or B average, upon initial hire date

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office products)

Ability to routinely work in a hands-on manner

Good hardware design and analytical skills

Interest in working with electrical hardware

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required

Strong interpersonal skills required
