An excellent career opportunity is currently available for an Advanced CAD Specialist within the Skills Center of Excellence within the UPT Engineering group located in Tulsa, OK. The role of an Advanced CAD Specialist is to work closely with sales, process and structural engineers to develop cost effective layouts and designs for process equipment in a timely manner. Products include vessels, stacks, piping, and associated structural steel.
LOCATION: This role can be worked from the Tulsa, OK or the Des Plaines, IL area and offers a hybrid working schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques and procedures.
•Applies first principles within area of specialty to solve problems, make improvements or new developments.
•Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Relies on extensive experience to exercise judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
•Advises on technical problems.
•Starting to identify opportunities to improve work processes and procedures.
•May lead revenue-producing projects including customer interface aspects. Participates in smaller projects or components of larger projects effectively.
•Position will provide guidance and information to lower-level engineers and have responsibility for various projects and plans. May assign and outline work. May check the work of others.
•Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.
•May be involved in engineering wide infrastructure issues related to drafting such as drafting standards for the Department, initiates new drafting policies and directs implementation, provides assistance and detailed instructions to Drafting Network, coordinates cross-Center projects in the drafting field.
YOU MUST HAVE:
•5+ years experience including solid modeling of parts and assemblies in CADWorx.
•3+ years experience of related equipment, applicable local and international codes such as ASME, as well as basic working knowledge of carbon and stainless metallurgy and fabrication techniques used for the equipment.
