Description
Admissions Counselor Responsibilities:
Conduct physical assessment of patient during intake.
Review prospective admissions against approved admission criteria, policies and procedures.
Initiate contact to gather required clinical and demographic data from patient and other sources.
Assist prospective patients and significant others in seeking treatment. • Coordinate with referral sources.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a social services field required (if state allows).
Master's degree in a social services field (psychology, counseling, social work, sociology, health administration, nursing) or RN preferred.
Three or more years’ experience in mental/behavioral health working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity preferred.
Experience in the managed care pre-certification process, level of care assessments and utilization preferred.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
LMSW, LPC, MFT, RN, or similar licensure; required from the state of Missouri for this positionJob Type: Full-time
