  JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  The Department of Ecosystem Science and Management is looking for an Administrative Support Assistant to help the Associate Head to plan and coordinate events and meetings for them, provide clerical support such as data entry into spreadsheets, collecting and gathering data for a variety of reports for the Associate Head, and other support necessary for the Associate Head to be able to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

  This position may also assist with researching and reconciling travel reimbursement and purchasing card expenses in the Employee Reimbursement System (SAP CONCUR). Work with the Financial Assistant, Proposal and Awards Generalist, and Administrative Support Coordinator to be an active member in providing input and training to department members using SIMBA for Grants and General Funds. Work in conjunction with the Administrative Support Coordinator to compile data and create and maintain financial reports for tracking income, research charges that pertain to direct bills from other University Service providers, budget amendments, income, fleet expenses, etc. Serve as backup for preparing, processing, and reviewing forms such as labor distribution transfers for part-time and full-time position expenses.

  Some other duties of this position include maintain and monitor departmental website and make any necessary changes, maintain and monitor departmental directories, and serve as a first point of contact when visitors come into the administrative suite.

  Education and Experience:

  This position typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
