Position is with the Huntington District located in Huntington, WV. Duty location is negotiable within the Huntington District. Will serve as an Engineering Technician coordinating contract actions between the District Field Sites and the District Contracting office. Applicants can be selected at either the GS-07, GS-08, GS-09, GS-10, or GS-11 level. The target grade of this position is GS-11. Duties Prepares plans, specifications, and SOW to support field activities associated with service and construction contracts. Prepares estimates of costs and other requirements. Performs regular technical inspections of navigation and flood risk management facilities to include measurements of components, visual condition inspections, and qualitative judgment of condition. Provides technical guidance to the field sites through collaboration and coordination with the various engineering teams or individual project engineers supporting maintenance and repair projects. Assists project engineers with maintenance record keeping, to include Facility Engineering Management (FEM) data entry, maintenance tracking, as-built drawing updates, job completion reports, after action reports and scheduling. Revises plans, estimates, specifications, drawings, and SOWs in event modifications are needed based on changes in site conditions.
