  The Position

  Administrative Services Officers function as business managers for a large division or major program area or facility, with responsibility for accounting, budgeting and business management of various services and operations.

  This opening is for an Administrative Services Officer 1 (ASO 1) within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Fiscal Services unit, in Carson City NV. The Division of Health Care Financing and Policy works in partnership with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to assist in providing quality medical care for eligible individuals and families with low incomes and limited resources. Services are provided through a combination of traditional fee-for-service provider networks and managed care. This position is responsible for seeing to the completion and certification of the division's federal quarterly, bi-annual, and annual reports and budgets. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining the division's Cost Allocation Plan and drafting revisions to said plan. This position directly supervises three Management Analysts IIs and one Management Analyst I. This role will require a high degree of collaboration with other units, divisions, vendors, and federal partners. The chosen candidate must be able to work effectively in with unique state software systems, Excel and maintain a professional and harmonious working relationship with their team and collaborators. The incumbent is required to maintain current knowledge of NRS and division policies as they apply to the position.

  To Qualify:

  In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:

  Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, accounting, finance or related field and three years of professional experience including two years of responsibility for major business operations/functions such as grants administration, contract and lease administration, purchasing and warehouse operations, human resources, Information Technology or facilities maintenance and construction; and one year of experience formulating, developing and analyzing program or agency budgets and/or conducting statistical/economic data collection, analysis and research involving the application of advanced statistical, mathematical and economic principles and research modeling; OR one year of experience as a Budget Analyst II or Economist II in Nevada State service performing duties as described above; OR two years of experience as a Management Analyst II in Nevada State service performing duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.Special Requirements
