Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Administrative Coordinator II for the department of Emergency Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.The Administrative Coordinator II will perform a wide variety of administrative services within the department of Emergency Medicine. Coordinates office support operations.Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Plans and schedules the work of the section to make maximum effective utilization of employees, equipment, resources and materials within budgetary requirements.
  • Prepares departmental reports. Assists in preparing studies of human resources, space and equipment utilization, etc. Handles administrative or statistical details for special projects.
  • Serves as liaison between the department and administrative units, such as Purchasing, Human Resources, IST, Accounting and Payroll.
  • Assists in the preparation of department budget by compiling data and preparing recommendations. Maintains records of fiscal expenditures, provides appropriate documentation.
  • Provides administrative support for the Chair and Administrator of the department including scheduling meetings and processing routine correspondence.
  • Schedule various meetings for department and make all necessary arrangements for the meeting such as room reservations, room set up, order audio visual equipment.
  • Expedites and coordinates services such as maintenance, service and repairs, supplies and mail.

  Qualifications

  

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree plus one (1) year of administrative experience in a government agency, university setting or large business office with responsibility for office management, preparation of reports, supervision of staff, etc.
  • Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.

  • Must be proficient in computer applications as required by the department.
