  Robert Half Lexington is partnering with a non-profit organization in the Lexington, KY area to hire a long-term temporary/seasonal Administrative Coordinator. This Administrative Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing various administrative tasks to support the efficient functioning of the organization and project team. Here's a job description tailored to your requirements--see below. This is a full time Mon-Fri position working a standard 8am-5pm schedule. Local travel will be required, mileage reimbursement is available. There will also be an occasional Saturday where this position will be required to work during their busy season.   Job Summary:

  The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating administrative activities within the non-profit organization and project team. This includes managing volunteers, schedules, paperwork, and handling phone calls to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Volunteer Coordination:

  Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for various organizational activities.

  Maintain a database of volunteers, including contact information, skills, and availability.

  Provide orientation and support to volunteers, ensuring a positive and fulfilling experience.

  Scheduling:

  Develop and maintain schedules for both staff and volunteers, ensuring adequate coverage for events and projects.

  Coordinate with team leads to align schedules with organizational goals and priorities.

  Paperwork and Documentation:

  Manage and organize administrative paperwork, ensuring proper filing and documentation.

  Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other relevant documents as needed.

  Phone and Email Communication:

  Handle incoming calls and inquiries, providing information or directing calls to the appropriate person.

  Respond to emails in a timely and professional manner, maintaining clear and effective communication.

  Event Support:

  Assist in the planning and execution of events, including logistics, coordination, and on-site support.

  Collaborate with other team members to ensure events align with organizational objectives.

  Collaboration:

  Work closely with various departments and teams to facilitate effective communication and coordination.

  Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

  Requirements

  Qualifications:

  Previous experience in administrative roles, preferably in a non-profit setting.

  Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Education:

  Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field is preferred.
