Primary Patient Population:

Pre-operative for OR, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Phase 1 and Phase 2 post-operative OR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Catheterization Lab

Phase 2 post-operative Endoscopy

Primary skills utilized/learned:

Pre-operative

Patient Assessment and support

Administer medication and provide patient education

Venipuncture

Post-operative

Pain control

Assessing baseline respiratory status

Overall comfort control

Personnel RN will work with :

OR/ ED/Inpatient RNs, Pre/Post Phase 2 staff, Anesthesia staff, Surgeons, PT, Radiology, PharmacyNumber of OR Suites/Cases:

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio

Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN

Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
