Position Title: Administrative Assistant/Travel Coordinator

Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for providing administrative assistance for the Human Resources/Corporate Services division and for assisting with travel services for the Cooperative, subsidiary employees, the Board of Directors, and Basin Electric member cooperatives.
Essential Functions:
Provide administrative support to the Administration/Corporate Services department. These projects include typing projects utilizing Microsoft Office, conference calls, taking meeting notes, working with the PM program in Asset Suite, and other general administrative tasks. Work with the requestor to schedule accurate completion of these projects.
Disseminate business travel information and arrange and schedule Cooperative aircraft travel, lodging and car rentals or transfers.
Process travel expenses.
May assist with reception duties, including answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, assisting with photo ID verification, and distributing ID badges, and ensuring the switchboard runs smoothly. Provides backup to the Administrative Assistant/Reception regarding the Company Store.
Qualifications :
Two-year degree in an administrative assistance program or related program and four years of related administrative assistance or travel agent experience.
Or a high school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSED) and six years of related administrative assistance or travel agent experience.
The incumbent must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, grammatical skills, and interpersonal skills.
This position requires the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, stay self-motivated, and work in a team environment.
Must have extensive experience with personal computers and Microsoft 365 and must have the ability and initiative to become proficient with a multitude of software applications that are necessary to provide efficient assistance, including computerized reservation experience.

Typical Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position and to move about the office building, occasional reaching below and above shoulder level, constant use of keyboard/computer and other office productivity machinery, bending, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 10 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds. It also requires finger dexterity and hand coordination. This position requires the ability to communicate and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information. It also requires the ability to develop plans, procedures and goals; present information to others; and work under stress to complete projects within deadlines.
