Microsoft Silicon and Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including AI, Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions.
In partnership with the Azure HPC & AI compute platform team, we are on a mission to deliver the hardware, software, services, and infrastructure roadmap that enables our users to run technical computing workloads in Azure – high-performance computing simulations, AI, machine learning, inferencing, remote visualization, and immersive gaming experiences. Together, we are responsible for providing Azure customers with supercomputer-class capabilities to accelerate their research, drive competitive differentiation, and finding answers to some of the most difficult questions about science and industry.
We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Program/Product Manager with a track record in driving software platform initiatives and strategy for an organization. You will help us define and develop tactical and strategic solutions to meet the immediate and long-term needs of our services that form a critical part of Azure infrastructure. You will be our liaison to external partners (Silicon Vendors, ODM, OEM, etc.), communicate Microsoft Azure requirements to our external partners, as well as coordinate collaborative efforts with various internal Azure Engineering teams. You have excellent communication skills to drive programs with multiple internal/external partners teams located in different geographical regions worldwide. As a seasoned program manager, you have a strong desire and ability to understand customer needs and a willingness to develop holistic and data-driven approaches to product solutions that delight and exceed their expectations. You have a good understanding of hardware, firmware, diagnostics, telemetry, HW/SW quality, the ability to apply these fundamentals to cloud-readiness, and most importantly - an unyielding passion for creating products that customers will fall in love with. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record translating the needs of a highly diverse set of AI & machine learning use cases into a differentiated set of supercomputing-class systems, solutions, and experiences, and apply them to Azure’s underlying infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities
Define platform product strategy and execution plans to accomplish our OKRs (Objectives and Key results)
Coordinate and manage cross-organization collaboration and interdependencies.
Author product requirements specifications, define product roadmap, and manage product backlog.
Communicate with internal teams, present to leadership across organizations.
Oversee efforts across people, processes, and products to foster expertise in efforts to collect, classify, analyze, and interpret complex data and analyses on a range of metrics.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
8+ years of experience in the development and release of software products or services
4+ years of experience creating and delivering executive level communications.
Experience in management of complex cross-group, cross-business, cross-disciplinary projects
Ability to deal with ambiguity, resolve conflicts, prioritize multiple strategic and tactical options and drive issues to closure without compromising on quality.
Experience with AL/ML technologies, GPU architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in technology product and program management, leading technical engineering teams
Master’s degree in engineering or business administration
In-depth knowledge of hardware, software, and cloud technologies
Experience with cloud-scale architecture and infrastructure
Track record in working with Silicon vendors (CPU, SoC, FPGA, GPU, etc.)
Proven track record of successfully influencing others at all levels of the organization.
