  Job Posting Summary

  The Department of Mathematics and Computer Sciences at Mercy University (NY) invites applicants for adjunct faculty positions in Mathematics to begin January 2023. Potential courses include, but are not limited to: College Algebra, Math for Liberal Arts, Intro to Statistics, and Pre-Calculus. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a commitment to student-centered undergraduate teaching and should be dedicated to supporting the academic success of students from diverse backgrounds.

  Applicants must send a cover letter addressing their qualifications; curriculum vitae; and copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts.

  Qualifications

  Minimum qualifications include:

  M.A. or M.S. in Mathematics, or a related field, by the appointment date.

  Demonstrated success teaching Mathematics at the College level.

  Ideal candidates will have an interest and/or experience in working with educational technology such as ALEKS.

  Physical/Other Requirements:

  Must be able to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs.

  Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies.

  Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.

  Mercy University promotes a community campus environment. As a result, employment is limited to the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania. Applicants outside of those states or the USA will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance may be provided for eligible moves.
