Accounts Receivable Supervisor
The Accounts Receivable Supervisor position is a key member of the Central Billing Office team. The position reports to the Vice President of Accounts Receivable and is responsible for all day-to-day activities and supervision of daily operations of the billing and collections business functions.
Core Responsibilities:
• This individual provides supervision and guidance to assigned employees and processes- need to reword
• Ensures that claims are billed on a timely basis and are accurate and complete
• Monitors postings and all billing to ensure compliance with established company policies and healthcare regulations
• Works with collection staff and various payers to include commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's to collect all balances that are due.
• Reconciles cash receipts for all facilities within the organization
• Manages actions related to delinquent accounts and minimizes write-offs
• Provide technical assistance to staff for training purposes and for problem solving
• Achieves all performance goals or objectives (individual or departmental) as established by the Vice President and/or Senior Leadership.
• Effectively manages resources to meet department goals
• Communicates effectively with all levels of staff
Requirements
Required Qualifications
• Proficient organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Creative problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurance regulations
• Billing and follow up supervisory experience with government payers and commercial plans
• Medical insurance claims processing experience
• Leadership ability to establish, implement and maintain effective billing workflow and policies
• Ability to resolve resident issues, as well as employee conflicts
• Intermediate computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
