Description

We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to join our team in New Brunswick, New Jersey. This position is in the manufacturing industry and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Accounting Analyst will play a crucial role in assisting our disbursements and expense team, keying/entering invoices, reviewing vendors in the system, troubleshooting Accounts Payable (AP) issues, and making recommendations for process improvement, among other tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the disbursements and expense team in their daily operations

• Key/enter invoices into the system accurately and promptly

• Conduct thorough reviews of all vendors in the system

• Troubleshoot any AP issues that may arise

• Make recommendations for process improvements to optimize efficiency

• Conduct account reconciliations as per the company's standards

• Handle any issues with vendors professionally and efficiently

• Think outside the box to contribute to the analytical aspects of the role

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.

• Must be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Demonstrable ethical behavior, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, including the use and types of materials/tools, method and work instructions.
