Primary purpose of the role:
To manage the completion of statutory reports and the related external audits for all required legal entities within Iron Mountain.
Will be responsible for planning, monitoring and managing issues resolution for the external audits and statutory reporting across all Iron Mountain countries.
Will work directly with the Regional/Cluster Controllers to ensure timely delivery of statutory reports and external audits. Will also communicate and collaborate regularly with our external auditors to ensure the timely completion of the statutory audits.
The role will have frequent interaction with management personnel at all levels of our organization, including Enterprise FP&A, Regional/Country Business Partners, Tax, Treasury and each of our international business units in order to ensure the accuracy of information included in each of our financials.
Key accountabilities:
Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and monitoring of the statutory audits as well as managing issues resolutions outsource provider
This role will work closely with Regional/ Cluster Controllers and in country teams as well as our finance shared services outsource provider when supporting the statutory audits of each of the countries
Responsible for assisting in the preparation of the statutory reports while working with the Regional/ Cluster Controllers and in the country teams in order to ensure timely tracking and completion of reports.
Responsible for attending trainings sessions and ensuring the understanding of our statutory reporting platform that will assist with the preparation of the statutory reports.
Responsible for working with our finance shared services outsource provider to complete all PBC items requested by the auditors while working with the Regional/ Cluster Controllers and in country teams.
Responsible for assisting to provide all Provided – by the client (‘PBC’) items to auditors while working with the Regional/ Cluster Controllers and in the country teams in order to ensure timely tracking and the completion the reports.
Responsible for escalating material issues that would impact the Company’s consolidated financial reporting to the Controllership team in a timely manner.
Responsible for timely communication of significant transactions or issues during the period with our external auditors to ensure timely resolution of the accounting conclusions based on the local statutory guidance.
Responsible for tracking local GAAP to US GAAP adjustments and ensuring entries are recorded in a timely manner that is in line with the Company’s policy.
Responsible for ensuring that all statutory reports are completed by the required deadlines.
Responsible for completing all the statutory reports with budget and / or escalating overruns in a timely manner while working with the Regional/ Cluster Controllers and in country teams.
Responsible for ensuring that each country systems are in compliance with statutory requirements and local GAAP entries are maintained with the system. You will support any system updates to the system reporting complies with the applicable guidance and generates the US GAAP and local GAAP adjustments, as required.
Responsible for staying up to date with the Global Accounting policy.
Responsible for collaborating with our Tax group to track legal entities liquidations plans and any related statutory reporting requirements.
Assist in maintaining the quality of our accounting practices and policies and ensuring that we are consistent across our business units with respect to the application of the key judgements, assumptions, reviews and/ or procedures/protocols as it relates to US GAAP adjustments and implications to local GAAP.
Assist with deep-dive issue resolution of targeted issues that have been identified for which the Country of Regional Controllership or Outsource providers need to support due to turnover, knowledge gap or skill set in order to effectively and expeditiously close down issues identified as part of close or statutory report process.
