Open to remote candidate that reside anywhere in the United States. Thisopportunity is for a Summer Internship (May - August). The working hoursfor this position are anticipated to be 25-40 hours per week.
VelocityEHS has an exciting and challenging internship programopportunity that will provide valuable, hands-on experience in manyareas in the accounting department.
The Accounting Intern supports VelocityEHS in a rotation of accountingresponsibilities related to 1) Daily cash accounting, 2) Invoice/Billingprocesses, 3) Expense reporting 4) Tax filings and 5) Special projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Rotation Responsibilities include:
Daily cash receipts processing and reporting
Reviewing invoicing and billing processes
Expense reporting including employee expense reports
Tax filings, including review of correspondence and estimated taxpayments
Assist in special projects and analysis as time permits (ex. reviewingand organizing external correspondence)
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Skills & Qualifications
Must be pursuing a degree in a Business program and have completed atleast 1 year of college (or equivalent credit hours).
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Effective team player, quick learner, and self-motivated
Must be at least 18 years old
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Experience with operational systems, Intacct or Salesforce experience aplus
Effective multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Takes ownership of issues and follows though to completion
