Pay: $90-$100k (depending on experience)
Type of Job: Direct Hire
Schedule : M-F 1 st shift
Analytical Development Scientist daily tasks :
Develops analytical methods for new products and new ingredients used in client or competitors’ products.
Monitors the R&D stability studies and issues stability reports.
Trends Assay data and issues warnings.
Proficient with all laboratory and USP wet chemistry testing and master the analytical chemistry principles behind the testing in order to successfully troubleshoot testing and technique.
Proficient in the Stability program and ICH drug product stability requirements.
Maintain accurate and complete notebook records for all method developmental, validation, and investigational studies in accordance with SOPs and protocols.
Writes and/or reviews procedures, protocols, summary reports and specification documents needed to support product development efforts.
Plans, monitors, and performs chemical and physical testing on formulas and packaging components of stability samples.
Leads and is responsible for transferring technical documentation including assay methods, stability data summary reports and product analytical specifications of new products from pilot scale to full-up production.
Creates, contributes and/or reviews Corporate SOPs and Departmental Guideline documents either independently or in conjunction with other departments.
Analytical Development Scientist Requirements:
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
3-5 years of Laboratory experience in the cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry
Experience working in a cGMP environment
