Kforce's client, a company in the West Bend, WI area, is looking for an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant position will support the accounting team with all day-to-day accounting transactions and ensure accuracy of all information as it relates to AR/AP. This position will report to the Director of Finance and Administration. Responsibilities:
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Assist in Month End Close and Reporting
Assist in streamlining accounting functions to be more efficient, and reduce/eliminate need for duplicate data entry among various software platforms
All other duties as assigned
Accounts Receivable:
Assure timely collection of monies due to company
Monitor and report on deviations from credit standards
Apply customer payments by recording cash, checks and credit card transactions
Conduct credit checks on all customers
Establish and manage credit limits
Resolves collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, and credit line
Understand and maintain full revenue cycle process, from client account set-up though final cash resolution
Accounts Payable:
Reconcile A/P electronic payments to bank statement
Processing of refund and returned checks
Issue stop payments and/or void checks when requested, as well as reissuing when necessary
Set up and maintain vendor files
Production Reporting:
Responsible for entering production information into Syspro, ensuring accurate recording of Job costs
Associate degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred
5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with general ledger account reconciliation
ERP experience; Current system is Syspro
Thorough knowledge of computer software skills, including, Microsoft Office Suite in particular Excel and Access
High attention to detail
Excellent prioritization skills
Excellent communication (written, verbal, presentation) and interpersonal skills
Resourceful, energetic and self-directed
Demonstrate integrity, honesty and mutual respect
Willingness to be hands on. No job is too big or too small
Durable Goods Manufacturing or related industry experience is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
