Description

　　Robert Half has partnered with a local non-profit organization to find a part time Accountant to join their dynamic team. In this position, the accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You'll also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will also participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and look over schedules for the reporting processes. The majority of time spent in this position involves producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. This multi-faceted, challenging long-term contract / contract to hire opportunity is located on the southeast side of Grand Rapids, Michigan where effort is rewarded, and the environment is thriving. To be considered for this position the accountant must have an accounting degree with strong, relevant accounting experience.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments

　　Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation

　　Aid in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

　　Be a part of various department-wide initiatives

　　Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision

　　Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

　　Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed

　　Assist in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner, including tax preparation, 1099's, and grant funding

　　Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reporting
