JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary Performs bookkeeping and clerical dutiesof a routine nature, which involves maintaining records and processingfinancial transactions for the NEW Zoo and Adventure Park. Positionduties may include, but not limited to, financial transactions inaccounts receivable, payable and collections/deposits, group sales,receipt of goods, reconciliation and processing. This work requiresindependent judgement, initiative and specialized knowledge in carryingout established procedures, policies or applying laws or regulations.Responsible for maintaining cash handling policies and procedures forcompliance, regulations, and accounting procedures while completing workaccurately and on a timely basis. Essential Duties Reviews, organizesand oversees daily cash handling reconciliation and deposit preparationprocesses Reviews, organizes and oversees group sales transactions,invoicing and collections Performs ongoing training of staff in cashhandling procedures and policy Provides guidance, training and directionto concessionaire and adventure park staff in cash handling policyadherence and execution of daily related duties Performs routine checksto verify cash handling policy staff adherence and compliance Preparebusiness operation reports for monthly meetings including reporting onsales, admission, etc. Analyze and interpret information of a complexnature pertaining to the department Performs related accounting dutieswithin the Altru POS system, LOGOS financial system and reportsResponsible for accurately depositing restricted and un-restricteddonation funds and reconciliation reports Obtain information fromvarious sources internally and externally in order to complete forms,documents, records, various services, etc. Annually update/maintain jobprocess, standard and duties Process checks/cash as needed Evaluatescash flow policies as well as theft and security measures Ensuresadequate cash levels for efficient operation; provides safety proceduresto ensure employee safety and cash security during collection,reconciliation and deposit Supervises collection, or collects funds fromdonation boxes, stroller rentals, animal telescopes, penny press, sodavending and additional sites ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of general office procedures. Knowledge ofbasic data processing techniques and procedures. Knowledge ofbookkeeping and appropriate procedural methods of the department.Knowledge of and ability to utilize a computer and the requiredsoftware. Ability to perform full data entry functions at a rate of 80net keystrokes per minute. Ability to learn and apply specializedknowledge and skills of the department.
