　　Description OverviewPerrigo Nutritionals, located in Georgia, VT is looking to add a Secondshift Microbiologist to their team.

　　Working hours - Tuesday to Saturday, 4pm to 12:30am

　　Scope of the RoleThe successful candidate will be able to work in a safe and efficientmanner in accordance with current GLPs, SOPs, analytical methods, andwork instructions. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail,and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team aredesired. A thorough understanding of aseptic technique is essential.Microbiological testing is performed on raw materials, in-processsamples, finished products, water samples, and environmental swabsamples. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, thefollowing:

　　Daily, monthly, and quarterly cleaning and sanitizing of assignedlaboratory areasMedia preparation and use of autoclavesCollecting environmental samplesCompositing of finished product and raw material samplesBacterial enumeration using pour plate, spread plate, Petrifilm, andMPN methods.Pathogen detection using cultural, ELISA, and PCR methods.Bacterial identification via VitekAllergen testingDocumentation and data entry of final results into SAP.Experience RequiredThree years experience in a microbiology, pharmaceutical or clinicallaboratory is preferred, but not required.

　　A four-year college degree in Microbiology or Biological Science.Consideration may be given to those who hold 10 years of progressivelyresponsible and relevant work experience.
