The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics, Section ofPediatric Infectious Diseases, seeks full-time faculty members at therank of Assistant or Associate Professor to further expand servicesprovided by the Section. Clinical duties include providing consultativeinfectious disease inpatient care, development of clinical protocols,and outpatient care. Direct patient care responsibilities includemanaging patients with general and complex pediatric infectious diseaseneeds. Limited off-hours and occasional weekend coverage are expected.Other duties include teaching and supervision of trainees and medicalstudents, and scholarly activity. Primary placement will be at ComerChildren's Hospital in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago and willinclude other locations contracted with the University of Chicago.Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringebenefits) is dependent on qualifications.
