Summary Die Cast Operators provide support in the production of metal die cast parts ranging in weight from several ounces to over 30 pounds. This support includes the entire operation process from trimming parts to setting up machines as well as removing and installing dies and related machine parts and tending to the furnace. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (But not limited to...) This job includes but is not limited to the following: Remove gates and runner as per the work instructions and inspects parts to ensure product quality standards. Operate trim presses and remove excess metal Understand the complete knowledge of die cast process including the function of the die, gates, runners and venting systems Repair and troubleshoot casting machines and related equipment Evaluate the effects of the equipment on the quality of the parts. Strive to improve process to continually increase production and improve quality. Must continuously train to keep up with technology. Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual. Follow the requirements of the Quality Policy, ISO/TS system, and procedures and participate in the Continuous Quality process Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions in a timely manner Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries, including wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
