JOB REQUIREMENTS: Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear,slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plasticmaterial. Ability to manage multiple tasks, and organize and prioritizetime effectively. Verify dimensional accuracy and quality of partdetails. Operate the brake press, Read blue prints, & Perform periodicmaintenance and inspections of equipment and components. Clean andlubricate machines. Examine completed workpieces for defects, such aschipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according totypes of flaws. Grind out burrs or sharp edges, using portable grinders,speed lathes, or polishing jacks. Adjust ram strokes of presses tospecified lengths, using hand tools. Lubricate workpieces with oil. Loadworkpieces, plastic material, or chemical solutions into machines.Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades, orother fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates,feelers, shims, and hand tools. Hone cutters with oilstones to removenicks. Hand-form, cut, or finish workpieces, using tools such as tablesaws, hand sledges, or anvils. Start machines, monitor their operations,and record operational data. Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw,cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal orplastic material.
