About Technical Program Manager

  We are seeking outstanding engineers and program managers to play a pivotal role in the development of HP Personal System's forthcoming platform. This platform is designed to support advanced customer products and services powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence.

  The Technical Program Management role involves playing a key part in the creation and integration of a cloud data and management pipeline. It will necessitate working alongside various teams and partners within the Personal Systems and Cloud Ecosystem Organization. The role requires routinely exercising independent judgement to determine best methods for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

  Responsibilities:

  Manages and leads key programs involving multiple functions and program teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for multiple products or solutions offerings.

  Directs the development of overall program strategy, budgets, resource allocation plans, and general program requirements.

  Manages activities of supporting program teams and internal and external development partners; ensures alignment with strategy.

  Communicates program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborates with business unit management and development partners to recommend and implement changes to products, processes, or business practices to drive continuous improvement and manage program costs.

  Drives innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities.

  Leads and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced staff members to set an example of program management innovation and excellence.

  Education and Experience Required:

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.

  PMP/PMI certification preferred.

  Typically 10+ years experience.

  Knowledge and Skills:

  Demonstrated history of program management excellence.

  Knowledge of PC Client or consumer electronics product development processes.

  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  Demonstrated business acumen, understanding of organizational strategy, and successful experience managing all aspects of cross- business unit programs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.

  History of innovation with examples of developing new technical, engineering and/or manufacturing processes.

  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  Ability to effectively communicate program management architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at business unit levels.

  Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $137000 - $198650 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
