　　Initially anticipated to be a one-year assignment with the potential for extension. The hourly rate range for this position is $34-$74 per hour (plus full benefits) with overtime paid at time and ½ for hours worked over 40 in one week.

　　DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- SPECIFIC

　　This position is for a Mechanical Engineer who will prepare designs for mechanical systems associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.

　　Support design development of Mechanical systems and equipment for the GBSD program project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements.Work with mechanical engineers and other technical disciplines in a team environment.Development Design Drawings.Perform formal calculations.Size equipment and systems.Develop equipment and material specifications.Develop procurement documentation.Develop design configuration packages for configuration control and change management.Design Building Information Modeling and coordination with other disciplines.Review vendor submittals and integrate information into the design solution.Execute to schedule requirements while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product.Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team.

　　Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, drawings, calculations, and specifications for Mechanical systems and equipment on nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building mechanical systems.Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools effectively.Experience developing equipment configuration packages for procurement and maintenance.Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as Bechtel Corporate guides and standards.Broad knowledge of the application of Mechanical engineering design principles.Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Mechanical or related Engineering).* *
