JOB REQUIREMENTS: Northwood Technical College is seeking applicationsfrom qualified candidates for a full-time Student LifeCoordinator/Student Services Assistant at the New Richmond Campus. Thisposition is responsible for planning, developing, marketing, andimplementing a full range of social, cultural, developmental, studentleadership and educational programs, activities, and events collegewide.The position also serves as an advisor to the Student SenateAssociation. Additionally, this position also assists Student Serviceswith job duties that include, but are not limited to, general staffing,answering the phone, supporting student registration, makingappointments for members of Student Services, and administeringassessments. Working with new and continuing students that walk ontocampus while utilizing different software systems to process the studentfrom inquiry to graduation. Collaborate with CollegeHealth Nurse to support programming related to health & related topics.Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship for the Student Senate.Suggest qualified students for needed campus representation andencourage greater student participation in shared governance and/orevents. Assure proper set up for all student meetings and specialevents; oversee performance of vendors associated with student activityevents. Schedule rooms/locations to prevent conflict of activities.Manage Student Senate Budget, assist the student Senate in administeringthe budget for Student Senate and student activities. Oversee creationand posting of flyers, posters, literature, and other needed marketingmaterials. Assist the Student Senate developing systems to effectivelyparticipate within the operations, governance, strategic planning, anddecision-making processes of the campus and the college, includingcomplying with appropriate laws and parliamentary procedure. Activelyparticipate on campus, regional, collegewide, and state teams andcommittees. Advocate for student needs with college leadership.Designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) to receive and reportcriminal incidents to the Northwood Tech Safety Office by virtue of thisrole\'s responsibilities at the College. Provide cross functionalcustomer service to students and other customers. Accurately process andenter student information related to admissions, registration, grades,course completions, drop/add forms, transcripts, etc. into database(s)Research and proactively assist students in solving problems. Follow upuntil the problem is resolved and/or refer to appropriate staff whennecessary. Provide administrative support services to faculty and staff.Assist in organizing and coordinating location/campus events andrecruitment campaigns.
