Job Summary
The Drazer Lab is looking for a Staff Scientist to work on the analysisand interpretation of genomic datasets for research projects aimed atunderstanding hereditary thrombocytopenia and hereditary hematopoieticdisorders. The Staff Scientist is expected to plan, execute, facilitateand advanced technical/scientific research projects. The scientist willcollaborate regularly with the PI (Drazer), junior scientists, andtrainees (graduate students, clinical fellows, medical students,undergraduate students). The scientist will be very involved in thepreparation and writing of grant applications and reports, and willco-authors scientific research manuscripts. They will supervise otherresearch staff in tandem with Dr. Drazer. All members of the Drazergroup provide peer review of grant applications and scientificmanuscripts.
Responsibilities
Designs, develops and tests experimental protocols for research(including empirical protocols, computational, statistical methods,etc.).Collaborates with other researchers as appropriate.Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applicationsand reports, and co-authors scientific research manuscripts.May supervise other research staff and students.Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis.Facilitates and promotes a research project by providing scientificor intellectual information.Develops laboratory protocols and training on new techniques.Manage, analyze and make recommendations on complex data sets forresearch.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Minimum requirements include a PhD in related field.

Experience:
