　　What will the new Senior Software Developer in Test work on?

　　Create and own the test plan. Provide QA estimations whenever needed and lead discussions with project stakeholders.

　　Understand product needs and requirements and translate them into test cases, follow test plan schedule and scope to perform testing and report defects.

　　Identify gaps between project requirements and development specifications.

　　Own and perform testing in each phase of SDLC, focussing on End-to-End testing between systems.

　　Plan and develop a robust test automation solution. Champion increased adoption of test automation for effective testing.

　　Support release management. Ensure exit criteria are met before moving code to different environments.

　　Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to troubleshoot issues.

　　Cooperate and communicate effectively with development and QA managers, product owners and solution specialists.

　　Provide feedback on process improvement when there’s opportunity and strive to apply testing best practices.

　　Requirements

　　Here’s what you bring:

　　The Experience . You have more than 5 yrs. of hands-on experience in software testing, preferably in utilities industry.

　　The education. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or any other Engineering related programs.

　　Client Orientation . You strive to provide support in ensuring client issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

　　Information Seeking. While doing your research, you consult for business or technical advice, probe for facts and obtain information from a wide variety of sources. You easily differentiate critical information from the irrelevant or trivial.

　　Communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create comprehensive technical documents.

　　Initiative . You are proactive in seizing opportunities and eager to act upon them immediately. You are serious about taking responsibility for your actions and love to address problems before asked.

　　Technical expertise.

　　Test Management:

　　Estimate test effort, create test plan and implement the plan.

　　Own defect management activities.

　　Produce test reports with key KPIs. Take actions based on KPI data.

　　Create test cases, perform manual testing, report defects and track defects to closure.

　　API Testing:

　　Understanding of APIs and how to test them.

　　Create API test cases and test REST APIs.

　　Experience in API test tools like POSTMAN, SOAP UI etc.

　　Experience in developing API automation suite using REST Assured or similar testing frameworks. Experience in test automation on PyTest framework would be preferred.

　　Test Automation:

　　Strong programming skills in Python.

　　Experience in writing UI Test automation scripts.

　　Experience in Playwright test automation tool or other similar test automation tools.

　　Experience in version control and CI/CD tool like GITLab.

　　Experience in configuring and running test automation from CI/CD pipeline.

　　Performance Testing (Good to have skill):

　　Understanding of performance test concepts.

　　Experience in scripting and running performance tests using tools like JMeter would be a plus.
