The Role
As an integral part of the Quantitative Research and Investing (QRI) team, the Platform & Analytics Group (PAG) oversees production data management, model integrity and end-to-end technical support for portfolio management, risk models and quant research platforms. The team provides analytic solutions and reporting frameworks to partners in QRI, portfolio management, as well as senior leaders across the Equity, Fixed Income, High Income, and Multi Asset Class divisions of Asset Management. This niche team leads development efforts to expand and improve the technical and data infrastructure, research platforms, diagnostic tools and reporting capabilities associated with multi-factor model risk forecasting, quantitative alpha models, big data analytics, and performance attribution. Together with their partners in the technology, research and investment services divisions, members of this organization work as an integral part of small project teams to deliver innovative data visualization and analytic tools capable of illustrating point-in-time and time series investment themes, portfolio exposures, and factors driving fund 's risk & performance.
PAG is looking for a top-tier Portfolio Analytics and/or Data Analytics professional who will help interface between investment professionals, investments services teams, technology groups and vendors.
The Value You Deliver:
Deep understanding of Multi-Asset class investment risk forecasting, portfolio construction including model construction, factor definitions, factor calculations, and translating output statistics into meaningful informationAbility to prototype Analytics needed by Quant Research processes and translate them into requirements for the larger platforms to help scale such processesRespond to ad-hoc data analysis requests in support of projects performed by Quant Analysts

High proficiency in SQL & PythonKnowledge of MSCI BarraOne platform a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills and are confident working with both technical and investment teamsStrong Data Visualization skills will be a plusDemonstrated ability as a top performer working in a data analysis role with great attention to detailA Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, finance or any quantitative discipline is helpful.5+ years of experience in a data and/or operational role. CFA Designation or working towards one will be a plusKeen ability to understand the needs of our internal customers and proactively solve for those needsHighly analytical with the ability to quickly comprehend large data sets, develop and implement the right quality controls for these datasetsHighly proactive and self-motivated with the ability to meet objectives under minimal supervisionKnowledge of Security Reference data across Asset Classes (Equity, Fixed Income) including derivative instruments
