In this role, you will prepare various standalone financial statements for SEC and regulatory filings, according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Role Responsibilities
Manage portions of the SEC filings on the Form 10K and 10Q
Prepare and analyze month end reporting schedules
Analyze complex balance sheet accounts in accordance with GAAP and Western Union accounting policies
Work with business partners to analyze and resolve financial reporting issues
Design and develop ad hoc reporting
Participate in the most complex accounting projects, such as system implementations, purchase accounting, etc.
Provide leadership in initiating and implementing process improvements
Research complex technical accounting issues and write technical memos, including conclusions on accounting positions
Mentor and assist with training other Accountants and Specialists
Role Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
3 to 5 years' experience in public accounting or equivalent financial reporting experience
CPA preferred
Experience working with multiple departments and multiple management levels
Strong knowledge of financial systems, preferably with Oracle
HFM experience preferred
Advanced system skills, including MS Excel and Word
Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills
Demonstrated leadership ability
Attention to detail and highly effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
Strong communication skills, including ability to influence others and work effectively across geographies and functions in a matrix organization as well as to clearly and concisely present findings at all levels of the organization
Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise judgment in fast paced and changing environment
Ability to effectively set priorities, manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and produce quality work while dealing with interruptions

Salary
The base salary range is $85,600-100,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
