Job Description

　　Responsible for the development, modification, documentation, and oversight of quality assurance programs and systems across mid-size to large projects. Specialization in weld processes is a plus. Provides expertise in interpreting quality standards and government regulations, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish and maintain quality standards. Tackles moderately complex problems, requiring in-depth analysis of various factors.

　　DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　* Identifies and suggests design or manufacturing changes for enhancements.

　　* Works closely with Welders and Weld Engineers to establish proper welding techniques and qualifications.

　　* Utilizes AWS and other welding procedures, with preference for ASME and Tech Pub 278.

　　* Sets technical objectives for quality assurance projects and recommends approaches for completion.

　　* Proposes design, dimensional, or manufacturing process changes to enhance products and reduce costs.

　　* Implements methods for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product precision and accuracy.

　　* Participates in functional testing and/or inspection of equipment and systems.

　　* Conducts audits of quality systems for deficiency identification and correction per AS9100.

　　* Develops and implements solutions to complex internal and vendor facility problems.

　　* Prepares statistical analysis reports, specifications, and other technical documents.

　　* Acts as the company's contact with suppliers, customers, and regulatory personnel to address quality issues.

　　* Delivers technical presentations and provides project direction to staff members.

　　* Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and obligations in all business conducted on behalf of the Company.

　　* Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

　　* Performs other duties as assigned or required.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　* Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or a related discipline, with six or more years of related experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of education).

　　* Proficient in inspection methods and possesses strong knowledge of computer operations and applications.

　　* Demonstrates expertise in a particular field of specialization with a thorough understanding of welding procedures, qualifications, and technical requirements.

　　* Analytical ability to develop creative solutions to complex quality issues and strong presentation skills.

　　* Detail-oriented for accurate preparation of statistical reports and technical documents.

　　* Strong leadership skills to direct staff members, maintain project costs and schedules, and represent the organization on technical quality assurance issues.

　　* Capable of delivering effective technical presentations and willingness to work extended hours as required. Familiarity with MIL-STD-1688
