JOB REQUIREMENTS: Weld steel to build waste dumpsters. Clamp, hold,tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain requiredconfigurations and positions for welding. Detect faulty operation ofequipment or defective materials and notify supervisors. Examineworkpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges ortemplates to ensure conformance with specifications. Mark or tagmaterial with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifyingmarks as required. Lay out, position, align, and secure parts andassemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares,calipers, and rulers. Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipmentto fuse metal segments, using processes such as gas tungsten arc, gasmetal arc, flux-cored arc, plasma arc, shielded metal arc, resistancewelding, and submerged arc welding. Operate safety equipment and usesafe work habits. Position and secure workpieces, using hoists, cranes,wire, and banding machines or hand tools. Weld components in flat,vertical, or overhead positions. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Good at working with fellow team members.
