Funded post-doctoral research positions are available in the Laboratory of Mucosal immunology within the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Columbia University. The laboratory uses in vivo and "-omics" approaches to study the interplay between commensal microbes and host physiology with focus on mucosal and tissue immunity. The Postdoctoral Research Scientists will conduct research in the areas of intestinal immune homeostasis, tissue resident T cell responses, microbiota engineering or the role of diet, metabolism and intestinal immunity in obesity and metabolic disease (Goto et al., Immunity 2014, Ladinsky et al., Science 2019, Kawano et al., Cell 2022). Minimum Degree Required: Ph.D. or M.D.
Candidates with prior experience in lymphocyte biology, epithelial cell biology, computational biology, microbiology, mucosal immunology or animal disease models are encouraged to apply. At least one first author peer-reviewed publication is required.
