Robert Half is partnering with a Well-Recognized Law Firm, and sourcing for a Patent Prosecution Paralegal.
Job Description:
Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing and maintaining patent prosecution dockets; Monitor and track patent application deadlines and responses from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and prepare patent applications, responses to office actions, and other legal documents; Compile and organize supporting documentation for patent filings.
Communication: Communicate with clients, foreign associates, and the USPTO regarding the status of patent applications; Coordinate and facilitate communication between attorneys and clients.
Research: Conduct research on patent-related issues, prior art, and legal precedents; Stay informed about changes in patent laws and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
Paralegal certificate or equivalent is highly desirable.
5+ years of experience in patent prosecution or intellectual property law preferred.
Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
