　　The University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for an Ophthalmic Clinic Assistant with Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

　　The Ophthalmic Assistant (OA) understands the theory, principles, and practice of eye care. This position performs appropriate clinical testing in compliance with department standards and documents in the EMR system.

　　Core Job Functions

　　Provides support to providers which includes documentation in patient charts as required and directed for patient care.

　　Provides patient-centric care.

　　Adheres to University of Miami policies, standards, values, and required training.

　　Complies with regulations and maintains patient confidentiality.

　　Follows best practices of patient safety, hand hygiene, and infection control.

　　Attends educational courses for ophthalmic personnel when assigned.

　　Demonstrates high quality of work through accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, and thoroughness.

　　Meets daily productivity goals.

　　Ensure all equipment is calibrated and instrumentation is in proper working order.

　　Participates in assigned clinical research and maintain required certifications.

　　Organizes and stocks rooms for daily clinical activities.

　　Travels to satellite offices when necessary.

　　Works evenings and weekends as needed.

　　Performs organizational duties as assigned.

　　Education:

　　High School diploma or equivalent

　　Experience:

　　0-1 years of relevant experience.
