Assists the projectteam in the production of projects on time, within budget, and consistentwith industry standards. Under supervision participates in technicalstudies, investigations, and design on assigned projects.Key Responsibilities:Learns to understand industry standards and company technical policies andprocedures during the execution of projects for clientsObserves and learns the industry standards and practices of design analysesusing industry softwareRoutinely assists with production of designs using Revit and/or CADD withthe assistance of senior design staffUnder supervision, assists in the execution of design processes and analysison assigned projects and requests assistance from design staff when neededUnder supervision, performs basic computer-based engineering calculationsand system design functionsAssists the design team in the coordination of project designs with otherdisciplines to determine equipment needs, provides input for operatingprocedures, and provides technical informationObserves and learns the information used by project managers to developman-hour budgetsAssists project team in the development of technical documentation,proposals, and presentationsLearns how to communicate design requirements with contractors and equipmentsales representatives to determine project scope and feasibilityAccompanies senior design staff in performing project job site visits toinvestigate field conditions and monitor progress based on designspecifications, owner expectations, and building codesReads and interprets blueprints, specifications, schematics, andengineering reportsActively attends internal and external training and other educationalopportunities to obtain knowledge in necessary technical areasAn ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited collegeKnowledge of industry specific software (i.e., Revit and AutoCAD)Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint,and Outlook)Knowledge of engineering theories and methodologiesSSR is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action EmployerEOE Disability/VeteranOur mission is to make a positive difference for our clients, colleagues,and communities.Recruiters or staffing agencies: SSR is not obligated to compensate anyexternal recruiter or search firm who presents a candidate, their resume, or profile to an SSR employee without 1) a current, fully-executedagreement on file and 2) being assigned to the open position via HR
