THE POSITION:Fayetteville is the corporate headquarters for The New Vemco Music Company. We are looking for repair-minded individuals who can repair and assemble equipment in Fayetteville and also travel to our other warehouses in the southeast region to assist with equipment deliveries/distribution. This position does not require a CDL.
Job task break-down:
About 60% of work duties are spent in Fayetteville:assembling and repairing equipment in the warehouserunning service calls for the Fayetteville service areaAbout 40% of work duties travel-based:loading box truckstraveling in teams of 2 or 4 to deliver new/repaired equipment to our other offices/locations (mainly Savannah, GA and Apopka, FL but other offices as well) - typically for a duration of 1-4 nights away 1-2 times a monthRESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain overall organization of warehouseAssemble and repair equipment in the Fayetteville warehouseRun service calls locally (Fayetteville and surrounding area) using company-owned vehiclesHelp load equipment into box trucks for deliveryDrive box trucks on out-of-town delivery tripsDeliver/unload and install equipment to other Vemco warehouses and at new locationsOther duties as assigned*REQUIREMENTS:
Experience using volt/ohm meter; effectively use hand and power tools and have your ownMechanically inclined and tech-savvy (ex: experience with cat5 wiring, audio wiring, appliance repair, etc.); Proficient in using/learning apps on handheld devices for record keepingAbility to lift at least 50lbs regularlyAbility to travel and stay overnight on delivery trips (additional compensation)Available to work rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service calls (additional compensation)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with staff at various locationsAbility to govern self and work independentlyMust have Drivers License with a good driving record (CDL not required)Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testsMust be able to pass background checkThe ideal candidate is mechanically inclined and has experience working on electronics such as sound systems, can troubleshoot and fix issues, is detail-oriented, and enjoys traveling.Some of the benefits we offer:
