  Description

  McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for a Human Resources Assistant for its Ames office. Candidates should be be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

  Responsible for general clerical support and backup for a variety of Human Resources Department functions, including but not limited to:

  Serves as the department receptionist. Answers and screens phone calls for the department. Greet and assists visitors.

  Facilitates revisions and publishes Employee Handbook and Emergency Preparedness Quick Reference Guide.

  Assists with New Employee Orientation materials preparation.

  Prepares ID photo badges and updates to badge access system.

  Assists Employee Health team with updating employee health & immunization records in paper files and UKG Pro records and other projects.

  Assists Safety & Environmental team with Safety Data Sheet updates and other projects.

  Performs departmental duties including development of charts, documents, presentations and special projects as requested.

  Updates UKG Pro benefits records, as requested.

  Serves as Epic testing proctor, as requested.

  Opens, sorts and distributes mail.

  Scans variety of HR documents and forms into employee document management system and and assists with Employee File management.

  Orders supplies for the Human Resources Department.

  Participates on committees as requested.

  Maintains strictest confidentiality.

  Performs related work as required.

  Education

  High School Diploma, GED or HiSET

  Associates Degree in related field preferred.

  Days: Every other Wednesday and every Thursday & Friday

  Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

  Experience

  Extensive computer experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office software programs preferred.

  One year of experience in administrative or Human Resources setting preferred.

  Previous UKG Pro/UltiPro experience preferred.
