If you have a passion for Human Resources and you are looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. This role will involve various Human Resources duties, including recruiting, conducting onboarding orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Your responsibilities in this role
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the Human Resources department
Work with other members in the Human Resources department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new employees
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Develop a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Draft templates for various HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Evaluate employee performance, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Requirements
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
Proficient with social media platforms as well as office computer applications and software
Prior Human Resources Generalist experience preferred
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Full cycle recruiting experience
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Proven understanding of local, state and federal laws
Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
