Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Pay Range: $28 - $32 per hour

Job-type: Permanent / Full-time

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 1st Shift, 7 AM – 5 PM (Overtime Available)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled/experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team for building demolition projects. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of heavy equipment to assist with the demolition of buildings and other structures. This opportunity is for someone with a back ground in heavy equipment operation, particularly in demolition, looking for a long-term career.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate heavy machinery, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, cranes, and skid steers, to dismantle buildings and other structures.

Demolition Site Preparation: Assist in preparing demolition sites by clearing debris and ensuring the site is ready for demolition work.

Demolition Execution: Operate equipment to safely and effectively tear down structures, including concrete, steel, brick, and wood buildings.

Blueprint Adherence: Follow project plans and blueprints to ensure proper demolition procedures are carried out.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all demolition activities adhere to safety regulations, protocols, and environmental guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience operating heavy equipment, with a focus on demolition.

Familiarity with various types of demolition equipment and techniques.

Strong understanding of demolition procedures, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure the efficient execution of tasks.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $73000.00/yr.
