The Graphic Designer will support corporate communications and branding activities for a government agency located at the L’Enfant Plaza Metro in Washington, DC. This is a hybrid position. In this role, you’ll provide a host of graphic design services to support corporate communications, brand management, and content development for internal and public facing products.
In this role, you will:
Provide graphic design support to all levels of the organization, following corporate identity, branding guidelines, and policies for multiple communications media
Work with clients on creative strategy and requirements
Design electronic and print collateral materials such as corporate publications, brochures, posters, displays, package design and advertisements for high-volume national distribution
Design illustrations for print with strong understanding of print layout design concepts, motion graphics, and web pages
Design, illustrate, and produce print, web-based, and interactive ads
Create screensavers and QR codes
Conceptualize and produce web-based designs (e.g., wireframe layouts, HTML, web e-blast, interactive PDF files, and web art preparation)
Create Microsoft Word documents and PowerPoint presentations
Coordinate multiple publishing tasks, coordinating outside print jobs and deliverables, and developing production schedules and timelines
Coordinate projects and interact professionally with customers at all levels of the organization.
Assist department in managing incoming design projects during their entire lifecycle — including creative analysis, research, design, production, and printing
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance (includes fingerprinting)
Associate degree in Graphic Design (relevant experience may substitute)
5 years of experience in advanced graphic design, computer-assisted design, digital media, and photography
Experience with 508 Compliance
Experience on both PC and Apple systems using a variety of graphic design packages including:
Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud (CC)
Illustrator
Photoshop
InDesign
Animate
Dreamweaver
Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
FrameMaker
Outstanding creative and design sensibilities and production skills
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to multitask and a professional attitude
Ability to take direction and execute in a timely manner — from research, conceptualization, and design to production and printing
