As a Fintech Partnerships Vice President in the Commercial Bank (CB) Solutions team, you will partner with the business to understand the product roadmap and understand planned new capabilities including the discovery, evaluation, and curation of partners that support the business roadmap. You will help the business perform partner versus build analysis by evaluating the landscape of fintech partners that can meet the requirements of the business. You will design and execute on a portfolio of proof of concepts with potential partners to assess product and firm fit as well as negotiate the execution of commercial partnership agreements. The Vice President will also help build and drive financial modeling activities for the Fintech team to prioritize and align strategy recommendations to commercial outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
Develop deep understanding of business roadmap, functional requirements, technical requirements and end-state customer experience including the end-to-end onboarding for target partnerships.
Extensive research into focus areas for the commercial bank
Support lifecycle of partnerships spanning discovery, evaluation, curation, execution, onboarding and commercialization
Work closely with control partners to assess the appropriate type of partnership, understand the unique risks and mitigating controls for each partnership
Connects into Fintech ecosystem to inform research and ensure early engagement with new opportunities.
Intentional and consistent reader of new Fintech trends, information and companies relevant to the CB to inform and elevate our POV
Manage and build portfolio of FinTech partnerships across business Lines and functional areas
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
6+ years of experience in Fintech, payments, or product investment
Requirements building - Experience understanding and capturing functional, technical and user experience requirements
Fintech business development - fluent in lifecycle of forming fintech partnerships from sourcing through to contracting to commercialization
Relationship builder - invests in developing collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners
Leads with numbers - leverages advanced models to transform large sets of data into insight, deeply analytical
Experience developing business cases in new or advanced product lines; requires broad understanding and practical application of valuation and market dynamics
Change agent - makes a case for change through facts, deep understanding of subject matter, strong communication and understanding of audience
Experience with bringing new product capabilities to market and supporting sales education
Driven to execute - tenacious drive to execute; leveraging strong organizational skills, communication and influence
