  The Apple Services Engineering team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple’s long-held passion for combining art and technology. These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, & Fitness+. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple’s high expectations with high performance to deliver a huge variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries. We're looking for people who can partner with our Stakeholder and Engineering teams to ship new features under demanding timelines for Apple Books, and to help support our Core Services Engineers that are an integral part of any feature that is shipped across all of Apple Services.

  Key Qualifications

  6+ years of technical program/project management experience in software development

  Excellent organization skills, acute attention to detail, ability to balance multiple tasks in a constantly evolving environment

  An extraordinary communicator to all levels of the organization with a knack for encouraging positive relationships

  Naturally accountable, responsible and self-motivated.

  Strong facilitation skills (requirements gathering, design reviews, cross-functional stakeholder meetings, reporting status and schedules).

  Strong technical proficiency. Bonus points for past programming experience

  Experience and passion for books and audiobooks is a plus

  Description

  We are looking for an Engineering Program Manager to lead feature projects for Books, and to drive initiatives for our Core Services Engineering teams. In this role you will: -- Drive & oversee all aspects of multiple concurrent projects & features, including scope, requirements, timelines, resource allocation & reporting -- Define business, functional & operational requirements for features you are driving (often writing them yourself). -- Own overall cross-functional schedules, which may impact multiple engineering teams, including client, server, tools, analytics and others. -- Drive roadmaps and sprint planning for our Core Services team, often identifying multiple projects that can be re-scoped against each other to maximize resources and time

  Education & Experience

  BA/BS or equivalent experience. MBA a plus.

  Pay & Benefits

  At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $152,400.00 and $268,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
