You will maintain and strong social media presence and create engaging content in a timely manner. Your writing will be well-researched, polished, and will meet all deadlines. 　　WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

　　Required Qualifications

　　Experience: News or editorial environments - 3+ years, Internet experience related to news - 2+ years

　　Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field

　　Technical Skills: Familiarity with HTML and/or web-authoring tools and software, including Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms and digital trends

　　Skills: Skilled at identifying story lines and analyzing stories; experience with audio and video editing

　　Abilities: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and interact with all team members

　　Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community

　　Schedule: Ability to work under time pressure deadlines and willing and able to work different shifts or longer shifts due to 'breaking news' and severe weather emergencies

　　Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the state of residence
