Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Outreach Coordinator will recruit participants for the program, provide career coaching/mentorship to participants, develop industry partnerships and offer job placement support for successful program graduates.
Develop and implement targeted outreach strategies to attract a diverse pool of participants for the Cybersecurity Analyst Certificate Program.
Collaborate with local schools, community centers, and workforce development organizations to promote the program and raise awareness about the opportunities in the cybersecurity field at Murray State University and the surrounding region.
Organize workshops, information sessions, and career fairs to engage potential candidates and provide them with detailed program information.
Assess participants’ skills, interests, and career goals to provide personalized career coaching and guidance.
Assist in resume writing, interview preparation, and developing a professional online presence to enhance their visibility in the job market.
Offer resources and support for networking, connecting participants with industry professionals, and encouraging participation in relevant events and conferences.
Develop partnerships with cybersecurity companies to support internship and job placement supporting the program.
Stay updated on industry trends, job opportunities, and local market demands in cybersecurity.
Assist successful program graduates in identifying suitable job openings, connecting them with potential employers, and facilitating interviews.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
Previous experience in marketing, recruitment and/or student support activities is required.
Strong knowledge of the cybersecurity industry, including current trends, technologies, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with participants, employers, and industry professionals.
Proven ability to develop and implement successful recruitment and outreach strategies.
Familiarity with career coaching techniques, including resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

Minimum Salary: $37,500
