Analyst, Legal (6 months Temp Assignment) Position Overview:
Global Atlantic seeks a full-time paralegal on a 6-months temporary basis with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience to join its Legal Department, with a focus on corporate entity maintenance, affiliate transactions, treasury operations and insurance company regulatory filings.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead the corporate entity management process, including coordinating and communicating concisely and effectively with key stakeholders, ensuring formation and due diligence requests are completed in a timely manner, and updating internal entity management databases.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the roll out and maintenance of Global Atlantic’s new legal entity management system
Supervise the entity formation process, such as reviewing and tracking entity formation requests, and coordinating with business teams to ensure Legal obtains all formation documents
Oversee the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) filings process, including keeping requirements current and educating stakeholders on this matter
Maintain and update internal documents relating to the entity management and CTA filings processes
Be the point person for legal matters relating to Treasury Operations, such as addressing Know Your Customer requests, drafting secretary certificates, and providing incumbency certificates
Assist with responding to entity-related inquiries from our auditors
Be the main point of contact for our third-party vendors (CT Corporation and Corporation Service Company)
Maintain and coordinate insurance and business entity licensing, including coordinating completion of state annual reports and license renewals
Assist with certain administrative items, such as sending invoices from our third-party vendors to Accounts Payable
Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders within and outside the legal, compliance, and regulatory department
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-3 years of corporate paralegal experience
Previous law firm experience or in-house legal department experience preferred
Experience with legal entity management, corporate governance, business licenses, beneficial ownership and know-your-customer processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and highly organized
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced team environment
Strong work ethic
Proactive approach and self-starter
Willingness to take ownership of matters
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other office applications
Enthusiasm for embracing new technologies and learning how to use new platforms
Prior experience with corporate records and entity management databases a plus

College degree
Paralegal certification a plus
